 |  Intertops offer odds on future of NHL season

The latest offering at Intertops.com is the fate of the 2004 to 2005 NHL season. A site known for its unusual angles they find to bet on, Intertops is now offering odds on the outcome of current negotiations between the NHL and TV stations who usually cover the sport. As explained by the Intertops press release, the two sides are currently trying to reach a Collective Bargaining Agreement, revolving around money.
The odds being offered are as to whether there will eventually be a lockout of the sport or not. Apparently TV stations are looking for other sports to cover should the negotiations prove unsuccessful. Intertops is inviting interested punters to make a wager on whether the season will progress as planned, or be interrupted by these current arguments.
There are odds offered on whether or not there will be a lockout, currently a yes vote is offered at 1/20, and a no vote is at 13/2. For the pessimists there is an additional option of then betting on the duration of the lock out. 1 to 40 days is at 2/1, 41 to 80 days at 5/2, 81 to 100 at 3/1 and 101 to 120 at 7/2. For those with very little faith in the organisations involved, 121 to 149 days is at 4/1, and 150 or more days is at 8/1. |
